Han hua new energy broke through 10 GW of qai NTUM solar cell production -- the first in PERC technology field

Recently, Hanwha Q CELLS Co., Ltd. (nasdaq: HQCL) and Hanwha Q CELLS & Advanced Materials Corporation, one of the world's largest manufacturers of solar CELLS and components, announced that its unique q.ai NTUM solar cell technology has reached 10 GW of production.

The target was reached earlier this year, and hanwha new energy will make more than 2.5 billion pieces of q.ai NTUM solar cells by the end of 2018, after the technology was first mass-produced in 2012. To help explain q.ai. 's acceptance of solar cells in the industry, pitch 2.5 billion pieces end-to-end and cover a distance of about 390,000 kilometers -- enough to circle earth about 10 times as far from the equator, about the distance from earth to the moon.
Ai. Qai NTUM is the unique solar cell technology platform of hanwha new energy. Q.ai. NTUM is based on passivation emitter and backside battery (PERC) technology, and offers many additional advantages over conventional PERC technology. Additional benefits include high performance component output and long-term stability, which benefit from excellent PID (potential-induced attenuation), LID (light-induced attenuation), and LeTID (light-induced and high-temperature attenuation) performance.
Don't bat. Q.ai. NTUM: don't bat
Recently, Fraunhofer CSP independently tested the anti-letid performance of two batches of nine different component types from leading solar manufacturers. The results show that hanhua new energy's efficient single-crystal silicon q.eak DUO component and polycrystalline Q.PLUS component lose only less than 1% of their power when LeTID is tested. The results confirm that these two components are market leaders in Fraunhofer's performance metrics.
